Description
This is my entire grade 6 science and social studies package. These products are all digital and are ready to be added to google classroom.
You will not need to plan for the entire year. All of my science for grade six as well as my social studies is contained in these zipped folders. They cover expectations and work for the entire year.
If you haven’t bought one of my units previously they contain experiments and are language-based so they can make use of the reading materials during language and you can make use of science time for your experiments and projects.
This is a bundled unit of all of the grade 6 science units. Please note that the thumbnails only reflect the cover pages. This is the same style as the other units but I have included links to the other units individually so you can get a better idea of what this includes.
Bogged down by how you are going to present the new Social Studies Curriculum? Canadian Perspectives and Global Community expectations seem overwhelming? No time to teach Social Studies with all the other expectations? Looking to split your social studies into two terms to get two different marks? No problem!
This is a grade 6 unit. It has focuses on the perspectives of First Nations peoples, Europeans, Chinese Railway Workers, Japanese Canadians, and residential school survivors.
I have added an additional almost 40 pages including full and complete lesson plans for each activity and text as well as time estimates and tips. It was written for the classroom but works easily in a homeschool setting with the exception of a few activities. However, there are more activities included than you will be able to do so you can pick and choose what interests your child.
This is the unit for you. This is designed for the new revised Social Studies curriculum.
This unit is primarily designed so that students can work through it independently without very much teacher assistance. It is designed as a ready-to-go curriculum so you can either use it on your Smartboard or photocopy the pages right from your download. You can additionally use it in your homeschool class so your child can receive all the curriculum they need!
This inquiry-based unit, which meets the updated Ontario curriculum for Grade 6, provides a variety of activities meant to allow students to explore the perspectives of each group of people involved. This unit aligns beautifully with my grade 5 unit and if you are teaching a split class consider the combined unit I offer.
There are many pages of text with interesting fact bubbles and pictures that kids will love to read. Students love this unit and it is teacher and student-tested. Many of the questions also help prepare students for tests like EQAO or other standardized tests.
This will cover your entire social studies! It will also cover a great deal of art, reading, writing and current events, and social justice issues.
